 Warner Bros. and DC Comics win the Superman caseAccording to the Variety, Warner Bros. and DC Comics won a very important case in the process brought by the heirs of Superman’s creators - Jerome Siegel.

During the day Wednesday, Judge Stephen G. Larson Judge decided that the heirs cannot claim the right to profits from this franchise than from DC Comics, not from Warner Brothers.

They asked for a percentage of income from Superman Returns, but the judge decided that they cannot claim the money than at DC Comics, the company received 13.6 million dollars after launching the film on the big screen.

The process lasted 10 days in which was discusses and the problem of achieving a new movie. Manufacturers have brought to the knowledge to court that does not have any scenario and that a new Superman movie will be made at the earliest in 2012.

Until 2013, the heirs of Siegel and Joe Shuster’s will has full property rights to Superman . So if a film does not enter production until 2011, the Court will decide in favor of heirs, they have the right to stop production or to require huge compensation since 2013.

David Carradine died suffocated

carradine David Carradine died suffocatedThe doctor who oversaw the Carradine autopsy said that the he was suffocated that because his death and the manner in which the body was positioned exclude, on the time, suicide.

Carradine was found struggled in the closet from his hotel room in Bangkok on June 4. The family hired the pathologist Michael Baden doctor to perform an investigation.

Baden has a show on HBO called “Autopsy”. The doctor said that “the actor has died of natural causes, but there’s no case of suicide. The remains variant it’s an accidental death. ”

The media suggested the theory that Carradine died because of auto erotic asphyxiation, variant which Baden considers incorrect. Baden expects that Thai police to send pictures of the Supervisory Boards to eliminate the possibility of a crime. The doctor has said to Reuters that could give a definitive and complete answer in a week.

oscar 2009 The category “Best Sound” can disappear from OscarOrganizers of the ceremony awards Oscar announces that next year will give up to the category Best Sound if any film has a soundtrack attractive enough.

Regulation stipulates that at least one song must collect a minimum of 8.25 points on a scale from 6 to 10 of the votes of the members specialize in the music academy.

Composer Bruce Broughton said: “We try to high the quality level. There have been many debates about the songs in films, the lack of memorable songs from the past, the ease with which some are forgotten … This is an attempt to make the songs as best as possible.”

There are other changes in ceremony next year, besides this. Thus, honorary Oscars will be removed from the award ceremony and will be awarded in a separate ceremony.

Specialized music department has 230 members who vote sound after watching snippets of movies that appear in the songs. If it does not add the number of fixed points, the category will be removed from the ceremony.

If only one song reached the number of points, then this song with the one closest to score will be nominated. Number of nominations can range from two to five, depending on the score.
