robert downey jr Robert Downey Jr.  negotiates the role for vampire LestatUniversal Pictures will soon launch a series of novels written by Anne Rice, The Vampire Chronicles, and on this occasion Bloody-Disgusting announced that Robert Downey Jr. negotiates now for the role of vampire Lestat.

Vampire Lestat has been interpreted by Tom Cruise in the 1994 in which played Brad Pitt, Christian Slater and Kirsten Dunst.

In 2002, Stuart Townsend interpreted Lestat in the Queen of the Damned in which he played alongside singer Aaliyah.

Novels written by Anne Rice include titles such as The Tale of the Body Thief, Memnoch the Devil, The Vampire Armand, Merrick, Blood and Gold, Blackwood Farm and Blood Canticle.

Robert Downey Jr. recently concluded filming Iron Man 2, and the new movie Sherlock Holmes or will be released in theaters for Christmas.

Currently, he negotiated for a role in Cowboys & Aliens, a film which will be produced and written by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci.
