Tom Cruise wants to make a remake of the famous western film Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, released in 1969, announces Femalefirst.co.uk.
He will be involved in the project both as actor and as director.
Cruise received the agreement of Paul Newman to make this film, before the death of the great actor.
In the original film, Newman has interpreted the role of Butch Cassidy and Robert Redford played the role of Sundance Kid.
Looks like the new version, Tom Cruise would interpret the role of Sundance Kid and John Travolta has been taken into account for the role of Butch Cassidy.
The movie would be produced by United Artists. The original film was very successful and is amongst in the top 100 films with the highest earnings ever.
